(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lindsay Lohan reportedly sees Drew Barrymore as a role model she could learn a great deal from.

Lindsay is going through a tough time at the moment, having recently completed a three-month stint in rehab. She was also jailed last year after she violated her probation following her 2007 Driving Under the Influence (DUI) conviction.

Following her release from the Betty Ford Center in January, Lindsay was accused of stealing a necklace and charged with felony grand theft, which she has pleaded not guilty to.

The 24-year-old gave an interview this week in which she insisted she wants to get her career back on track, and she apparently thinks Drew is a good example of how she could do so. The 36-year-old went to rehab at 13, attempted suicide a year later and then became legally emancipated from her parents.

Lindsay sees Drew as her role model and she's hoping she might convince her to work with her as a producer, director or actress, a source explained.

Lindsay began her career early just like Drew, and has also had a troubled upbringing. Her parents are divorced, and her relationship with her father Michel Lohan has been turbulent. Lindsay reportedly thinks these experiences will help her bond with Drew, and is keen for them to meet up soon.

They have some mutual friends that Lindsay is hoping might help in some way. Drew understands what it's like to grow up in the spotlight and suffer from not having a normal childhood so Lindsay is hoping she will take pity on her, the source added. (C) Cover Media
