Makers of 'Badlapur' apply for PG12A rating

13th February 2015

Though Sriram Raghavan is happy with his upcoming film 'Badlapur' getting 'A' certificate from the censor board, they have applied for PG12A rating to release it in UK simultaneously.

He said, "I'm happier with a clean 'A' and no cuts. At least it's still the film I set out to make. Anyway, I wouldn't show it to any under-10 kid, but today's teenagers are mature enough to have enjoyed the film. I wish we had a mid-rating like PG12, but since we don't, I had no choice but to take the risk of them not seeing my film."

PG12A ensures that kids, who are 12 and above can watch the movie under their parental guidance.

A source states, "So, they have gone for a PG15 rating instead without any cuts. The same 'adult' version which is releasing in India on February 20, will also travel to UK."
