(Cover) - EN Fashion - Manolo Blahnik says his shoes have stopped couples from divorcing.

The Spanish stars iconic footwear is often worn by A-list fashionistas such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.

As well as having a huge celebrity following, his shoes are a favourite amongst fashion-conscious ladies across the globe. Manolo says that by making women appear more glamorous, he has helped save marriages that had lost their romantic sparkle.

Some men tell me I've saved their marriage," he told the Telegraph, explaining that when a man sees his wife in a flattering pair of his designs he usually wont be able to resist her. "The male reaction to heels is half normal and half perversion... The first thing men look at are a woman's legs, and there is nothing more flattering than high heels.

The designer also hit out at celebrity culture, saying he isnt pleased when flashy sports stars purchase his shoes. Manolo insists he isnt being snobby, arguing its just that he finds that lifestyle very boring.

"It's not the vulgarity of it - vulgarity's OK and bad taste is OK too, sometimes - although when all those football people buy your shoes...Really I'm not interested in that," he explained. (C) Cover Media
