(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Marcia Cross would love to see her Desperate Housewives character reunited with all her past lovers.

It has been confirmed the upcoming eighth series of the television show will be the last. Marcia plays perfectionist Bree Van De Kamp in the programme and has had several on screen love interests. The actress hopes she will be reunited with the actors she has worked with over the years.

"To be honest, I just leave everything to Marc [Cherry]. I'm happy to do whatever he says. He's had eight wonderful years to think up an ending for us, so I'm excited to see how he's envisioned the next few months," she replied to Digital Spy when asked how she wants the show to end. "However, I would definitely love to see all of Bree's men again. She's had a lot of fabulous men over the years, from Steven Culp to Kyle MacLachlan to Brian Austin Green and Roger Bart. I'd love to see them all return before we finish."

Marcia has also revealed some of her co-stars were "in denial" about the series ending.

While many people were surprised when it was announced the eighth season would be the last one, Marcia suspected the worst. However, she claims Eva Longoria, Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman had no idea.

"I had said to all the girls, 'They are making an announcement about the show and they don't make an announcement unless there is something to announce'. I don't know why, but everybody else was in denial," she added. "However, I was very clear this news was coming. I immediately texted Felicity Huffman as soon as it was confirmed. She actually found out the news through my text."

Marcia revealed she will miss playing Bree "immensely", comparing her to an old friend.

She added she would like to have one of her character's signature pearl necklaces as a keepsake. (C) Cover Media
