Matthew McConaughey's latest movie research lasted an "hour" before he realised that sitting in a male strip club wasn't his thing.
The actor stars in upcoming Magic Mike alongside Channing Tatum - which is loosely based on Channing's time as a sexy dancer.
Matthew and Channing delved into the world of strip clubs before Matthew took on the role of Dallas.
"[We] met early on and went by one male review strip club in New Orleans, I was there for about an hour. That was enough," he told People.
Matthew's character is a former stripper and owner of the club where the dancers work. The actor had fun with his role.
"Dallas wants to take over, world domination with his male review," he revealed. "It was fun and very, very corny."
Matthew is leaving the adult world behind with his new film project. The star - who has children Levi, three, and Vida, two, with Camila Alves is currently working on a family movie.
"I've got one that I'm writing right now. Kids love planes and dragons and lions that can fly they teach you that you can break that fourth dimension," he said.
