(Cover) - EN Movies - Melissa McCarthy is joining the cast of Judd Apatow's latest comedy project.

The 40-year-old American actress has received vast critical acclaim for her comic role in this year's smash-hit movie Bridesmaids, which comedy guru Judd produced.

It has now been revealed that Melissa will join forces with the moviemaker again, in a currently untitled comedy set to be directed and written by Judd, who famously helmed classics such as 2007's Knocked Up.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie will see Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann reprising their Knocked Up characters with a new story. Albert Brooks and Megan Fox will also star.

Apparently many character details are being kept confidential for the moment, although it is believed Ryan Lee, one of the child actors in this year's sci-fi thriller Super 8, will play Melissa's character's son, a student at the same school as Paul and Leslie's character's children.

Barry Mendel and Clayton Townsend will have producing roles on the comedy. (C) Cover Media
