Mila Kunis: I fear being fired

31st August 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Mila Kunis only relaxes halfway through a movie shoot as she knows she won't be fired.

The actress appeared in Oscar-winning movie Black Swan which was released in the US last year. Since then her career has really taken off, although Mila still can't accept how well she's doing.

She continually worries she won't win jobs, or manage to hang on to them if she is given a role.

"I am nervous every day I get to work that I'm going to get fired. It's only once we pass the halfway point through production that I'm like, Oh well, they aren't going to fire me now, it's too late,'" she explained. "Otherwise, whether you have to be funny or mean or angry, whatever the character is it is incredibly nerve-wracking to go to work because acting is based on opinion."

Mila tries to take something away from every film set she's on. Whether it's a positive or negative experience she insists it helps her. She'll either learn how to behave when shooting or how not to, both of which are helpful.

"If you work with an a*****e, you learn how not to be one," she told Stylist magazine.

Mila, 28, was born in Ukraine but moved to America when she was seven. She's previously said anti-Semitism was one of the reasons her family relocated, and she remains politically aware.

She explained her family often talk politics over the dinner table, with the actress "going at it" with her father. Mila can't understand why more young Americans aren't more interested in the government.

"You don't have to watch Fox news or CNN or MSNBC; you don't have to be part of a political party, you could just read," she said. "Why is nobody reading? I feel like, in our generation, people don't read They don't read books, they don't read the papers, they don't read news. So obviously you are incredibly ill-informed" (C) Cover Media
