(Cover) - EN Star Style - Mischa Barton says she created her own handbag range because she loves fashion, not money.

The actress created a collection of bags for fashion website ASOS.com in 2008 and has since released her own eponymous handbag line.

Mischa understands that many celebrities attach themselves to fashion collections nowadays, and she thinks they are stimulated by the chance to earn plenty of money.

I dont know, probably because people like to brand their names, Mischa told the British edition of OK! Magazine when asked why so many famous faces have branched into the realm of fashion.

Everybody wants to cash in on it.

The 24-year-old insists her motivations are entirely different. She wanted to branch out into designing as she has been obsessed with fashion for her entire life and is recognised as a style icon thanks to her unique dress-sense.

I love fashion, she explained. I always have and people always see me as a fashion person as Ive got so many ties to it. (C) Cover Media
