Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's accident on the sets of 'Happy New Year' caused some serious injuries. Though he somehow managed to complete the aforementioned film, his schedule for 'Raees' went haywire.
The talked about film produced by Farhan AKhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani had SRK and Farhan playing the lead. While SRK is slated to play a Gujarati Don, Farhan was supposed to play a cop. But as SRK’s accident had a spiral effect on the film's schedule, Farhan had to force himself out of the film for its good.
The new schedule for 'Raees' doesn't match up with Farhan's dates who also made a commitment to Bejoy Nambiar's film for Vidhu Vinod Chopra. He hence decided to quit out of his own production.
Now we hear, the role will be essayed by 'Gangs of Wasseypur' star Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The schedule is still being worked out and if all goes well, the film might go on floors post monsoon.
