Tannishtha Chatterjee and Nawazuddin Siddiqui two National Award acting giants are set to reunite once again after making an appearance in Mangesh Hadawale's 2011 drama 'Dekh Indian Circus'. Tannishtha confirmed the collaboration and said "Nawaz and I have the most vibrant creative discussions and through so many years of conversations, we thought it is almost an organic culmination that we now tell a story that we would ourselves like to watch."
Tannishtha further adds "I experienced a very strange incident during one of my travels to a film festival and immediately sounded him out. Nawaz was equally intrigued, and we decided to bring the experience to the screen. We will probably adapt the book some other time."
This means the collaboration is all set to roll.
Whereas Nawaz said, "We share a wonderful creative rapport. When Tannishtha narrated the story, I figured it would make for a good film. The idea started from there and we kept meeting and talking about it. Now, it’s time to execute those ideas."
Siddiqui recently dubbed for Ritesh Batra's Photograph and is shooting for Abhijit Panse's biopic on the late politician Bal Thackeray. Chief Content Officer, Eros International said,"Tannishtha and Nawaz are extremely accomplished performers and it is exciting to have such talent come together."
While this yet to be titled film will be bankrolled by Eros International, Pankaj Razdan, Ravi Walia and Ridhima Lulla.
