Cast: Prince and Nanditha
Director: Teja
Ratings: 2/5
A unique title but not such a unique movie...
A unique title would sure grab the attention and could even help in bringing the audience to the cinema halls to a certain extent. But the main thing--- making them sit and enjoy- purely rests with the director. Teja, who is back in the field after a long gap- has succeeded in the first part and failed in the second, one has to say, for the film has nothing new to offer, except the 42 debutants.
Looks like Teja has lifted ideas from his earlier hits (Jayam, Nijam and Avunanna Kadanna etc) and dished them out under the title Neeku Naaku Dash Dash. Despite all this, he should be able to make a good film but, few scenes are such that the film has nothing in it to keep the audience glued.
Moving on to the storyline--- Siva (Prince), a straight forward and honest youngster, works for an illegal liquor syndicate, as he is forced to do so. His colleague there is Gayathri (Nanditha). Their boss is Bapineedu. As expected, both fall for each other slowly and their romance remains as a best kept secret. But only for a little period. When it is leaked, a lot of twists and turns happen.
Prince is a welcome addition to Tollywood, as the youngster emotes well. Equally good is Nanditha. Others in the cast, mostly youngsters, are almost apt for their respective characters. The pick of the lot is the one who has played Bapineedu.
Music composer Yashwanth Nag has attempted something new. Other technical departments, including cinematography and dialogues, are routine and regular, just like the story and screenplay of Teja.
On the whole, Neeku Naaku Dash Dash is a rehash of many yesteryear films we have watched on screen. If one really has a couple of hours to kill, he/she can head to the theatre showing this Teja film.
