(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Nikki Reed wanted her wedding to feel like an "outdoor music festival".

The 23-year-old Twilight actress tied the knot with American Idol contestant Paul McDonald, 27, after just eight months of dating last weekend.

"We wanted it to feel kind of like an outdoor music festival. That was our initial direction," she explained. "People sat on hay bales or on blankets on the ground. We had a light canopy that hung over the dance floor that was beautiful."

Nikki also loved the ambience of the day. The stunning star says the entertainment and food added to the special feel of the event.

"We had a band play and a DJ after that," she told the UK edition of OK! magazine. "An organic food company called Green Truck pulled up and parked right on the grass, and people stood in a line and grabbed hot dogs, salad, chicken wraps, etc.

"We also had unbelievable desserts. There was everything from red velvet cake to shot glasses filled with southern banana bread pudding."

Paul and Nikki got engaged in June after meeting at the Los Angeles premiere of Little Red Riding Hood in March. (C) Cover Media
