Parineeti talks about her first National Award

19th March 2013

Actress Parineeti Chopra was warmly welcomed and accepted by the Hindi film industry after she made her debut with films like 'Ladies vs Ricky Bahl' and 'Ishaqzaade'. She picked all the Best Debutant awards for her work in the former film, and for the latter she won critical acclaim. But the latest compliment that came her way has sent shivers down her spine.

Parineeti has won a Special Jury award for her performance in 'Ishaqzaade' at the recently announced 60th National Film Awards. And this mention by the jury has given her goose bumps.

The actress confesses that though she is elated with the success, the mention has scared her to the core. "Though I won big awards as a debutant, I never thought I would win for Ishaqzaade, but when I did, it was the biggest one in the country and that too for my first lead role, it is all just unbelievably scary!!!," said Parineeti.

She however, adds that the mention will motivate her to work harder. "The mention though scares me, it also humbles me. I am sure it will make me work even harder in the future! Thank you jury," she added.
