Not very good news for Aamir Khan Productions and all those who thought that 'Peepli Live' was amongst the finest films produced by the Indian film Industry in 2010. The film is out of the Oscar's race in the Best Foreign Language Film category. 'Peepli Live' and 'My Name is Khan' were in the list of films which will make it to India's official entry to the Oscars and finally 'Peepli Live being a social satire and based on the sensitive issue of farmer suicide was selected. But now the film is our of the race and 9 other films and have been shortlisted. The jury will further shortlist the number to 5 for the final nominations. India's previous entries to the Oscars which made it to the nominations included Mother India & Lagaan. Hope there soon will be time when we would win an Oscar.
