'Phantom' clocks a good first weekend

Saif Ali Khan's 'Phantom' despite of bans and protests in few territories opens well at the box office.

Kabir Khan directed film earned 34 crore in its opening week. It was word of mouth and critical appreciation that helped the film grow over the weekend.

On Friday it cashed in 8.5 crore, followed by 12.78 crore on Saturday and 13 crore on Sunday. The film managed to cross the weekend collection of Saif's 'Agent Vinod' which was 30 crore. This movie too fitted the similar brackets.

According to trade pundits, the film will earn 18-20 crore in next four days. Besides this, the other two releases - 'Kaun Kitney Paani Mein' and 'Bankey Ki Crazy Baraat' managed to earn 1 crore.
