Actress Richa Chadda has taken up on an issue of illegal Victoria rides in her area, a month after the Bombay High Court imposed a ban on horse drawn carriages.

Richa who filed a complaint with the Commissioner of Police about this issue, said, "The government has given them a year to stop the use of such carriages. But my problem is not just that; I see riders forcing horses to run in the middle of the road in Versova. Once I saw this guy controlling two horses and it was scary. He has been offering rides to kids and I shudder to think what will happen if the horse goes out of control. So, I wanted to register a complaint against this."

The actress who is yet to get a response from the police, further added, "The sight of such carriages was disturbing and I approached an NGO. There, they advised me to write a complaint to the traffic cops. I am still waiting for their reply. I am more concerned about stray horses and hope that these horse- drawn buggies become history soon."
