(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Rihanna has been spending 3,000 a day on champagne and food while on vacation.

The Barbadian singer has taken time out from her hectic schedule for some rest over the last week. She hired a 200,000 a week yacht for her and some pals, and has cruised around France and Italy.

The group have been determined to have fun, apparently staying up until 6am most nights. They've been sipping on champagne the whole trip, downing so much more had to be ordered in.

According to British newspaper The Sun, the daily food and drink bill has been around 3,000.

"The crew ordered the maximum amount of Laurent-Perrier Champagne they thought a few girls could down in a week, but they drank it all in just over a day," a source told the publication.

"By midday on Monday they had sunk 12 bottles. On their nights out they ordered Mot & Chandon Champagne, Grey Goose vodka and Red Bull, each bill going into thousands."

Rihanna's also been generous with the staff on board, sending them away with a 100 euro tip whenever they helped her.

The star apparently decided she'd like to go jet skiing after a few drinks earlier this week, but was advises against it by staff who feared she'd had one too many.
