Riteish Deshmukh is set to conquer the world of music with 'Banjo' trailer

10th August 2016

Riteish Deshmukh was last seen in the third installment of 'Masti' titled 'Great Grand Masti' with Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani. He is now gearing up for his next film named 'Banjo.' As the title states, the film is based on the life of Banjo players hailing from the state of Maharashtra.

The trailer of the film was released a day back.

The trailer starts with the entry of Riteish playing his instrument Banjo at a local Ganesh Procession during the Ganesh festival. Like every banjo player he too struggles to get a good life but the only thing he wants to earn is 'respect.' He has a strong support of his friend (Dharmesh Yelande) who is one of his team mates in the Banjo team. The only thing they do to earn their living is to play banjo in processions until a record executive from abroad (Nargis Fakhri) visits India in search of them. She eventually spots the talent in them and express her wish to perform with them at one of the most famous music festivals in abroad.

Her boss doesn't like the idea of showcasing the 'Raste Ka art form' in the music festival, while the banjo players are finding it difficult to adapt to the ways of the recording industry. In order to prove themselves the best while navigating the world we have this powerful dialogue by Riteish, "Hum Banjowale Hai, Jab Chahe, Jaha Chahe, Apna Stage Khud Bana lete Hai." And the trailer ends with the last stroke of him playing the banjo on stage.

'Banjo' is directed by Ravi Jadhav and produced by Krishika Lulla. It will release on September 23, 2016.

"#Banjo Trailer -  Dekho Jalwa- http://erosnow.com/#!/movie/watch/1054588/banjo/6743448/exclusive---official-trailer?ap=1 …," the actor tweeted.
