Rosie O'Donnell: I'm not angry

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Rosie O'Donnell says she no longer feels angry all the time.

The talk show host-and-actress has confessed to dealing with rage issues in the past. However, she now feels calmer and happier after seeking medical help.

"You know, I think I had a lot more rage than I was aware of. But I've gotten back access to my other feelings. I'm not cut off from my emotions anymore The rage has gone away There's been a healing," Rosie said in the October issue of O magazine. "I had, like, zero oestrogen. And since I got some, I've been able to function more normally. I've stopped being so angry."

The 49-year-old has landed a new talk show on Oprah's network OWN. Rosie can't wait to move to Chicago and get started on the project.

"It's a new beginning for me. For the first time in a long time, I'm excited," she beamed.

Oprah always knew she wanted Rosie on board when she decided to launch a television network. She is impressed by the star's people skills and is confident she will be a huge hit.

"In 25 years of doing my show only one competitor ever seriously challenged me in the ratings: Rosie O'Donnell," Oprah explained. "From the day Rosie took her place among the crowded field of talk show hosts, I knew she had the It' thing."

Rosie decided to come out as a lesbian in 2002, and she now admits "the only people who didn't know were the audience". She subsequently married marketing executive Kelli Carpenter in 2004. However, their differences ended up driving them apart and she has revealed their divorce left her "humbled".

Rosie raises four children with her former partner and says they will always be the most important thing in her life.

"I would die for any of my children, and, more importantly, I would live for any of them," she added. (C) Cover Media
