Rowdy Rathore - Biggest non-holiday opening of all time

UTV & Bhansali Productions Rowdy Rathore co-produced by Shabina Khan opened to an unprecedented response, creating a splash at the box office – with single screen registering phenomenal collections.

Co-producer Shabina khan says "Very few get to enjoy opening figures such as these with their first co-production...I'm thrilled that the hardwork has paid off and  elated that the film is doing so well."

Breaking records,the action entertainer collected a whopping 15.10 crores on its opening day ,the third biggest opening day of all time after 'Agneepath' and 'Bodyguard' and the biggest non-holiday opening of all time, given that the other 2 blockbusters released on National holidays.

Directed by Prabhu Deva, the film that marked Akshay Kumar's return to out-and-out action was also the star's biggest opening day ever.

While centers like Kanpur, Nagpur, Indore, Jaipur, Udaipur and Lucknow have recorded 85% average collections in single screens, multiplexes too showed encouraging occupancy. The film has also received an overwhelming response overseas especially in centers like UK, Canada and UAE.

If that wasn't all, the film also received rave reviews in industry circles!
