Russell Brand reportedly spent the night with a mystery brunette over the weekend.

Britain's The Sun newspaper claims that the comic actor was seen driving the woman back to her apartment from his new Los Angeles home.

The 36-year-old Arthur star apparently gave the woman a kiss before she got out of his car wearing the same clothes she had on the night before.

The pair had apparently spent time together at The Largo Theatre before going back to Russell's mansion.

Russell and Katy Perry signed divorce papers on February 8 to formally end their 14-month marriage. Their divorce will be finalised within six months.

"Russell is a single man again and starting to move on from Katy," a source told the newspaper.

"Like any bloke, he had missed female company. He isn't quite back to his old ways yet, but he's very much back in the saddle."

Russell and Katy reportedly met at the actor's Hollywood Hills home recently to discuss the final aspects of their split. But Katy apparently "sobbed her heart out" as soon as she left and gave him back her wedding ring.
