(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Russell Brand and Danny Boyle are in talks to make a soccer movie, according to reports.
The comedian and director crossed paths at Vanity Fairs Oscar party at the weekend, and realised after chatting that they were fans of each others work. The pair found a mutual bond as they are both big soccer fans, and support British teams West Ham and Bury respectively.
Russell, 35, is said to be keen to combine his acting and comedian skills with Dannys ability to make a great movie.
"Russell told Danny what a fan of his work he is, Danny admitted he's a fan of Russell's stand-up and they talked about working together, a source told British newspaper The Sun. They'd love to make a film about football. Danny's secret wish is to film 365 Days In The Life Of Bury FC. Russell loved that."
Danny, 54, is best known for his work on films including Trainspotting, The Beach, 28 Days Later, Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours.
Slumdog Millionaire won the British filmmaker and producer numerous awards in 2008, including the Academy Award for Best Director. On 17 June 2010, it was announced he will be the artistic director for the 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony. (C) Cover Media
