Russell Brand has reportedly agreed to move out of the marital home he shares with Katy Perry.

Russell recently filed for divorce after just 14 months of marriage. The pair had bought a $6.5 million mansion in the Hollywood Hills only a few months ago.

Following the split, they are believed to have decided that Katy will remain in property.

"The moving process is already under way and most of Russell's stuff is already out of the home," a source told TMZ. "The two are on reasonably good terms with each other, considering they just broke up... and the decision over the house went pretty smoothly."

After announcing their decision to divorce, 36-year-old Russell insisted he would "always adore" Katy and the pair would "remain friends".

If Katy plans to stay in the marital home for the long-term it has been suggested that she will have to give Russell a substantial sum of money to buy him out.

The 27-year-old singer is scheduled to make her first public appearance since splitting from Russell at the People's Choice Awards on January 11.

Katy is also set to perform in Jakarta and Manila later this month.
