(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ryan Gosling is in a "committed relationship" with his film career.
The American actor has built a reputation in Hollywood through his appearances in Indie flicks including Blue Valentine and Half Nelson.
Since rising to international stardom, Ryan has dated a series of Hollywood's hottest women, including Rachel McAdams and Sandra Bullock.
The star is now rumoured to be romancing Eva Mendes after the pair were spotted together at Disneyland.
Ryan insists he is concentrating on his film career at the moment.
"There's interest but I'm in a committed relationship with film. I'm giving as much to it as a marriage. I had two of the greatest girlfriends of all time [Sandra and Rachel]. I haven't met anyone who could top them," he explained in an interview with British newspaper The Times.
"I'd like to be making babies, but I'm not, so I'm making movies. When someone comes along I don't think I'll be able to do both and I'm fine with that. I'll make movies until I make babies. I have no idea when the handover will happen."
Ryan has explained why his "great" relationships ended. The 30-year-old hunk says that fame got in the way of his blossoming love with both Sandra and Rachel.
"Showbusiness is the bad guy," he says. "When both people are in showbusiness it's too much showbusiness. It takes all of the light, so nothing else can grow."
Ryan says being in the glare of the media spotlight isn't all negative however. The actor insists fame has its upsides, and becomes frustrated when celebrities don't appreciate their fortune.
"[Being a celebrity is] like the best drug you'll ever do," he smiled.
"Magical things happen. There's instant access to everything. As with all drugs there's a dark side, but when actors talk about the downside of fame I roll my eyes. You say you want something, it appears. The people in movies become the people you know." (C) Cover Media
