(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ryan Reynolds has joked he wants to shoot the creators of energy bars.

The 34-year-old Canadian actor is the star of summer smash Green Lantern, where he portrays the title superhero character.

Playing a powerful hero in the fantasy movie required the already-hunky star to intensify his exercise regime. Ryan was happy to do so as he knows it is part of his job, although confesses he did tire of constantly eating energy bars.

"With the usual, annoying training," he replied when the German edition of OK! magazine asked how he got in shape.

"You chew so many energy bars for months until you want to visit their inventors with a shotgun. But it goes with it."

Ryan appears in Green Lantern alongside Hollywood beauty Blake Lively, who is currently believed to be dating movie heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio.

Ryan - whose divorce from Scarlett Johansson was finalised earlier this month - revealed he had great chemistry with Blake, although things remained strictly professional.

"We are pros so you don't flirt," he laughed.

"Let's call it chemistry. Blake has become a really good friend and is really smart, talented and charismatic. That makes it easy to build up a certain chemistry."

The star also considered his dream super power.

Although he admitted it could be fun to go unnoticed while watching nude women, he thinks he would opt for something more ethical.

"To be able to fly or being invisible would be appealing," he mused.

"It would be smarter to have something less egoistical to help other people. Mankind hasn't any rewards for someone invisible being able to take a walk into the girls' dressing room." (C) Cover Media
