Sanjay Dutt who was serving a 42-month sentence for his role in the 1993 Mumbai blasts has been granted a 14-day parole for medical reasons.
Dutt, who is lodged in Yerawada jail since May this year, was to join other inmates to perform a play for the fund-raising cultural programme for the jail staff and their families, however, the play was also cancelled.
The actor reached home in the afternoon and will report to court after completing his two-week parole.
