Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt who has played a cop in his films like 'Kurukshetra' and 'Shootout at Lokhandwala' has played a similar character in his forthcoming film 'Department'.
The film is set in the political and the corrupt system backdrop where Sanjay's character is on a mission to eradicate underworld from Mumbai. Though he is playing a very serious role in the flick, he someday wants to do a commercial entertainer cop flick like 'Dabangg' and 'Singham'.
"I wish I could play a cop like 'Chulbul Pandey' or 'Singham' but in the film 'Department' we are dealing with serious issues and that required a different kind of treatment," said Dutt.
The film where he shares the screen with Amitabh Bachchan and Rana Daggubatti is all set to release on May 18. It remains to be seen whether audience showers the same love on the cop flick 'Department' like the way they did it for 'Dabangg' and 'Singham'.
