(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Saoirse Ronan loved doing her own stunts in The Way Back.

The stunning American stars as a Polish refugee in the movie, which charts the progress of escaped prisoners of war during the Second World War. It also features Colin Farrell and Jim Sturgess.

Saoirse has revealed she had no need for a stunt double when carrying out some of the plots more dramatic moments.

I did my own stunts in this movie! she told Cover Media.

The 16-year-old thinks the false landscape used on set was visually stunning. And Saoirse revelled in the more energetic sections of the film, which werent that dangerous, as they allowed her to let loose and have a great time. Basically all I had to do was run across this beautiful fake ice that they had made from wax - it looked amazing - so great... it was good fun, she explained. (C) Cover Media
