Hansraj Saxena, the once all powerful chief executive officer of Sun Pictures, stayed out from action after he faced a series of charges, got arrested by the police and came out of jail later.
And now, he is making a comeback in Kollywood. By joining hands with his close aide Ayyappan, Saxena has acquired the distribution rights of Charulatha, a film starring Priyamani in the lead role.
Inspired by 2007 Thai movie 'Alone', which had Thai-German pop singer Marsha Wattanapanich in the lead role, the film which features Priyamani is directed by Pon Kumaran, a former associate to K Bhagyaraj and K S Ravikumar.
The Tamil version is produced by Global One Studios, which had producerd Arattai Arangam and Ramayanam for television channels and co-produced Cheran-Pasupathy starrer Raman Thedia Seethai.
