(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn reportedly enjoyed an intimate meal together at a Los Angeles restaurant.

Rumours have persisted for a number of months that the pair have been secretly dating each other yet this has never been confirmed.

Last year it was revealed that Scarlett had split from her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds. The separation was said to be amicable yet they both filed for divorce in December.

And now Scarlett has seemingly enjoyed a cosy dinner with 50-year-old Sean at Versailles.

Photographs released to TMZ appear to show the 26-year-old with her foot on his lap while they gaze at each other over the table.

A source told the website that Scarlett covered the bill for the food. The pair are believed to have bonded over their shared desire to want to help Haiti, which was hit by an earthquake last year.

Sean finalised his divorce from Robin Wright in 2010, having previously been married to pop icon Madonna. (C) Cover Media
