Charlie Sheen: Mueller files restraining order

2nd March 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Charlie Sheens twins have been placed in his estranged wifes care, and she has won a restraining order against him.

The star is in the process of divorcing Brooke Mueller, who he has sons Bob and Max, almost two, with. Charlies behaviour has become increasingly erratic lately, stemming from his hospitalisation earlier this year. He became ill after an alleged two days of partying with porn stars, and began receiving rehab treatment at home. That meant his show Two and a Half Men went on hiatus, and when Charlie slammed the decision last week it was announced the rest of the season had been cancelled.

The actor is furious at the decision, and has given a string of interviews about it. He has also dismissed his father Martin Sheens claims he is suffering from a disease, said Alcoholics Anonymous doesnt work and that sobriety is boring, and spoken of the two goddesses he is now in a relationship with.

Yesterday, Brooke went to court saying Charlie had made specific, descriptive threats against her. She was granted a restraining order, which states Charlie must stay at least 100 yards away from her and not contact her. This comes around a week after it was reported she was planning to move near to him, so he could spend time with the twins.

Charlie was not told the hearing was planned, so his attorneys werent there.

A judge then temporarily gave full custody of Bob and Max to Brooke, after she submitted an alleged threat Charlie had made to her to court. I will cut your head off, put it in a box and send it to your mom, she claims he said.

She also claims Charlie threw a phone in her presence, and threatened to poke a penknife in her eye.

Brooke is currently in day treatment for substance problems, so her mother will help with the kids care.

The boys were taken from Charlie by police last night, after which he took to his newly-activated Twitter page to talk about the situation. My sons are fine ... My path is now clear .... Defeat is not an option (sic)! he wrote.

In a new interview with Access Hollywood, Charlie admits he is enjoying the attention hes currently getting. He explained he no longer takes drugs as they became tedious, and was asked if hes now getting high via media attention.

Who couldnt be? Who wouldnt be? Im not saying like, I thrive on it, but [if] this is the way it has to be right now, then I gotta get in the middle of it and just drive it and just stay on point, he said.

Earlier this week the star expressed a desire to return to Two and a Half Men, but only if his alleged $2 million an episode pay cheque was boosted to $3 million. He has slammed the shows producer Chuck Lorre as well as Network CBS and production company Warner Bros. repeatedly for using him and making him poor by cutting the series, and has even talked of suing for as much as $320 million.

Um, no. Im not running out, I dont have as much as I thought I would, but I cant really get any sympathy behind that and I dont expect any because everybody is suffering, he said, when asked if he has cash. Ive established some expensive tastes and lifestyles for me and my extended family and [Id] kind of like to support those, but Im also the guy that believes, like Ive said, [the] situation dictates [it] and its time to make changes.

CBS Corp. president and CEO Leslie Moonves spoke about Charlie yesterday, insisting putting the show on hold hasnt damaged the network. He also questioned the actors constant interviews.

[He is] on the air quite a bit these days," Leslie said. "I wish he would have worked this hard to promote himself for an Emmy. (C) Cover Media
