(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Simon Pegg says Tom Cruise is the last great movie star.

The British actor was left starstruck when he met the Hollywood legend while he was in Los Angeles. Simon was introduced to Tom and his wife Katie Holmes over dinner and he couldnt believe how down to earth the couple were.

He is a huge fan of Toms films and believes the actor will go down in history as one of the biggest stars ever.

My former agency once organised a dinner out in Hollywood and casually mentioned Tom and Katie were going to drop by, Simon said in an interview for the British edition of Glamour magazine. Tom turned out to be really good company and a lot more normal than everyone would think; he didnt mention Scientology once. Hes probably the last great movie star, so I was amazed that he could be so normal and engaging.

Simon is continuing to carve out a career in Hollywood having appeared in movies including Hot Fuzz and How to Lose Friends & Alienate People and has landed a role in the new Star Trek sequel. The 40-year-old star loves making films and has even started to take his Miniature Schnauzer dog to work with him. Simon managed to secure Minnie a walk-on part while he was shooting black comedy Burke and Hare, but has joked he is becoming too involved in developing his pets career.

Im quite a pushy stage parent, he added. But Minnie doesnt seem to mind the glare of celebrity, so at the moment, Im quite happy to disappear behind her. (C) Cover Media
