Ive enjoyed my late thirties, she told British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.
Now, I go back and forth between being fine about being 40 next year and feeling that Ill have to start acting like a grown-up. I always felt that sucks.
After contemplating her reluctance at reaching the landmark age, Sofia then laughed that she still employs language favoured by teenagers. The director thinks its good shes still young at heart though.
And hey, Im about to enter my forties and I still say, That sucks! she remarked.
Sofia also discussed her relationship with Thomas Mars, who is lead singer of French rock band Phoenix. The talented star thinks marriage will be on the cards one day, although the fact that she divorced her first husband Spike Jonze in 2003 has made her wary of rushing into it.
