SRK revisits his 'Fauji' days

7th August 2012

It seems that Bollywood Super star Shah Rukh Khan has a soft corner for uniformed national service men, as he in his two decade long career has many times donned some or the other national-duty uniform for his films.

Be his Indian Air Force pilot avatar in 'Veer Zaara', Army officer role in 'Main Hoon Na' or his television show 'Fauji' (1988), Shah Rukh has been loved in all his aforementioned avatars.

And we assume it is this charisma that has been yet again instilled for his role, this time in Yash Chopra's directorial comeback film starring him and Katrina in the lead.

Though the details of the film have been closely kept under wraps, we have learnt that SRK plays an army officer in the film. While there has been a huge hullabaloo over the last portion of the film being shot in Ladakh, not many know that the sequence that is slated to be shot there is of a war sequence where SRK in his reel-avatar of an officer will be shown on duty.

The schedule is for eight days that will commence soon, and both SRK as well as Yash Chopra are pretty excited for the same.
