Before venturing into acting, Sundar C is a popular director, who has worked with almost all the top stars. Rajinikanth starrer Arunachalam, Kamal Haasan's Anbe Sivam, Karthik starring Ullathai Alli Tha were a few films which would talk about Sundar's direction skills.

However, he changed track and started donning the greasepaint from Thalainagaram. Now that his acting ventures are failing to work bigtime in the box office, the filmmaker has reportedly decided to wield the megaphone again.

The actor- director has just completed shooting for Murattu Kalai, a remake of yesteryear Rajinikanth hit. Now he is planning to direct a film in which he would not act. Buzz is that Vimal has been approached to act in the lead role.

Sources say Sundar C is planning to relaunch Vadivelu as comedian through the film. Both of them share a good rapport and it is evident from the hits they delivered together- Winner, Thalainagaram, Giri and Nagaram Marupakkam.
