Suniel Shetty's father Veerapa Shetty breathed his last on Tuesday i.e February 28, 2017. Veerapa Shetty was 93 years old and was admitted to Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai. He is survived by his wife, son Suniel and a daughter Sujata. He suffered a major Paralysis attack back in 2013 and Suniel had constructed an entire ICU in his residence to treat his father at home.

Veerapa Shetty was a hotelier by profession and has built an empire of hotels. Suniel Shetty has been carrying his legacy forward and is a successful hotelier too apart from being an actor.

The last rites will be conducted on Wednesday i.e March 1, 2017 in Mumbai.
