December 20, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): It was on Sunday the 19th of December that the winner of the21st season CBS reality competition Survivor held in Nicaragua, was announced and the grand prize of $1 million was won by Jud Fabio Birza.

Birza, as he is fondly called is a model student from Los Angeles and he got past in the last three immunity challenges with expertise. The 39 day stint was quite a tough one for the other contestants as Fabio the youngest of the 5 contestants made it to the top.

In the last challenging rounds Birza was successful in breaking the alliance between Jackman chase Rice and Mathew Sash Lenahan and the 44 year old Holly Hoffman who is a swim coach from South Dakota.

Jud Birza was lucky to have won a total of 5 votes from the 9 member jury of the dismissed contestants.

The two contestants who had reached the final round 24year Rice a singer by profession from North Carolina and 30 year old Mathew, an estate broker from New York were ousted by Birza as he managed to win more votes. Reports are that Jud was extremely good with his relationships with the eliminated contestants thereby making him the ultimate winner.

Two contestants, Onka Mixon the 27 year old gym teacher from Los Angeles and Purple Kelly Shim a 20yearold nursing student from Arizona had made an exit from the reality show on the 28th day. They did stay in the jury of the evicted contestants though.

The host, a TV personality went on to give out some exciting info about the upcoming 22nd season. According to the announcement Survivor .Redemption Island will feature eliminated contestants living together and gearing up for a chance to return in the game. With this interesting twist the Redemption Island contest for Survivors in the 22nd season is all set for a February 16th premiere.
