Sushant Singh Rajput's dacoit drama taking us back in valleys of Chambal titled 'Sonchiriya', is pushed ahead almost by a month. This Abhishek Chaubey directorial which was earlier scheduled to release on February 8, 2019, will now hit the screens on March 1, 2019.

Film's cast Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi Pednekar, Ranvir Shorey, Ashutosh Rana, Manoj Bajpayee too retweeted the news.
However, the reason for postponing the release date is still unknown, now the flick will clash with Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan's 'Luka Chuppi' releasing on March 1.
Before the filming began to get into the skin of the character Sushant met former dacoits from Chambal and Bhumi too landed in Chambal to get familiar to the location. She plays a local residing in the dacoit affected region in the movie.
Sharing her shooting experience, she said, "The expectations are extremely high. Abhishek Chaubey is one of the finest directors we have in the country and he has brought about such a beautiful and power-packed crew together. It was very liberating for me to be a part of this film as it's a beautiful story of what the society can do to human life."
