(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kristin Cavallari's dance partner thinks she is a "sweetheart".

Kristin is currently a contestant on US television show Dancing With the Stars. The 24-year-old reality star and her partner dancer Mark Ballas, 25, have been gracing the dance floor with each other since the beginning of the season. Both Mark and Kristin are currently single and speculation has been swirling around the true nature of the team's partnership.

"That [rumour] sh*t's already started," Mark told People magazine. "She is a sweetheart. We have a lot of fun. We laugh a lot. We're getting along great."

Kristin and Mark have both recently split from relationships. Kristin ended her engagement with American football player Jay Cutler in July. Mark called it quits with former American Idol contestant Pia Toscano earlier this month.

Hearsay about whether or not Kristin and Mark are an item does not bother the couple. They largely anticipated this reaction from the public.

"I kind of expect [the dating rumours], to be honest," Kristin said. "But that's what happens when you put two people together."

Not allowing rumours to affect them, the partners are excited about putting together fantastic dance routines for fans of the show. Mark believes that Kristin's technique is advancing well.

"I'm really proud of her progress," Mark said. "We're focusing on the routines and making the best performances for our fans. We're really grateful to them for voting for us."
