Tamannaah Bhatia will play the leading lady in the Hindi remake of 'Tagore'. Starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role, the film will be helmed by popular Kollywood director Jayam Raja.
Though Tamannaah started her career in Bollywood with the movie 'Chand Sa Roshan Chehra', she became one of the top actresses in the South, working in over 20 movies in Telugu and Tamil. Interestingly, Tamannaah is coming back to Bollywood with 'Himmatwala' opposite Ajay Devgn.
Though sources have been spilling the beans that the actress will be doing a lot of Hindi films hence forth, this one is a confirmed news by the media.
The original 'Tagore', had Chiranjeevi play the male lead which was directed by V. V. Vinayak. It was also a remake of the Tamil hit 'Ramana' which was directed by A. R. Murugadoss, which had Vijayakanth in the lead.
