Taylor Armstrong is set to publish a memoir detailing her tumultuous relationship with her late husband.
The 40-year-old The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star will begin penning the tome just three months after her deceased husband Russell Armstrong committed suicide.
The impact of Russell's death in August has been intense for Taylor and she will discuss these feelings in the book.
"Taylor's publishing deal is with Simon and Schuster and the book will be out in February 2012," a source told RadarOnline.com.
"It will be a memoir and the abuse she endured while married to Russell, as well as another abusive relationship she was in the past will all be detailed."
Taylor is inspired to discuss her personal issues in an effort to address domestic violence. She wants abused women to be empowered through her work.
"Taylor is writing the book to put a face on women involved in domestic violence," the source explained.
"She wants the public to know there are resources for battered women, and there is a way out."
Russell was found dead in his Los Angeles home on August 15 by hanging himself. He was 47-years-old at the time.
Before Russell's passing Taylor had filed for divorce from him in July.
He was said to be distraught about the end of his marriage and a spiraling financial crisis.
Russell is survived by his two children with Taylor and a son from a previous marriage.
