(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Tia Mowry is "so excited" about the birth to her first child, a baby boy with husband Cory Hardrict.

The 32-year-old actress, best known for her role in sitcom Sister, Sister, welcomed a son in Los Angeles today weighing in at 8lbs.

"We are both so excited to be parents," the happy couple relayed to American publication Us Weekly in a statement.

"We have been wanting this a long time!"

Tia starred with her identical twin sister, Tamera in the 90s comedy about their lives growing up as look-a-like siblings.

Her husband of three-years said he did everything he could to pamper his wife while she was pregnant.

"Just thinking about my child coming here brings a tear to my eyes and I will try to be the best father in the universe!" Cory stated proudly, and Tia has confirmed he did a good job during her pregnancy.

"He cooks for me every day. My doctor said I'm gaining too much weight, but Cory says, It's for the baby!' It's really sweet," Tia said. (C) Cover Media
