(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Tom Cruise says Christmas is "huge" in his house because it's Katie Holmes' favourite time of the year.

The actor has revealed his wife and their five-year-old daughter Suri love to embrace the festive traditions over the holidays. The family always look forward to Christmas and enjoy making decorations to put on display.

"It's huge. It's my wife's favourite time of year," Tom told UK talk show host Jonathan Ross. "Suri loves it. She loves decorating the tree and she's very creative.

"She'll create ornaments, so there's lots of arts and crafts in the house. It's fantastic."

During the interview Tom was handed a special gift which came with a note saying, For the man that has everything.'

The 49-year-old star burst out laughing as he unwrapped the present and discovered it was a medallion bearing the slogan, I've got everything.'

Tom went on to reveal he personally chooses all his Christmas presents.

The Hollywood icon enjoys browsing through stores to find the perfect gift for loved ones.

"We go out and get them," he replied when asked if he and Katie ask their staff to pick up presents. "We go to the shops."

As well as promoting his latest movie Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol, Tom also discussed his upcoming appearance in musical film Rock of Ages.

The star plays sleazy rocker character Stacee Jaxx and sported long hair for the role. He has revealed Katie was impressed with his hairstyle.

"She was very happy with it. I didn't get any complaints," he smiled. (C) Cover Media
