Tori Spelling: Christmas tradition is important

23rd December 2011

Tori Spelling believes that Kriss Kringle would consider her to be a "good girl" this year.

The 38-year-old actress is gearing up for the holidays with her husband Dean McDermott and their three children.

Since childhood Tori has put in the work throughout the year to ensure that she ends up on Santa Claus' good list.

"[My parents] would always have a pretend Santa call every Christmas Eve and ask: Were you a good girl?' I'd say, Yes, Santa,' and then he would show up!" Tori told OK! magazine.

Tori's current household is a little less Santa-oriented than it was when she was growing up. She and Dean's two-month-old Hattie, three-year-old Stella Doreen and four-year-old Liam Aaron are partaking in other yuletide activities.

"The kids and I bake cookies and we're doing the Advent calendar, because I did that growing up; that was a big thing," Tori detailed.

The daughter of late producer Aaron Spelling, who created the original hit 90210 series in the 1990s, Tori grew up in an affluent home.

Money or any ostentatious celebration is not important to Tori during the holiday season.

"It's not about the wealth. It's not about a snow machine. It's about the tiny traditions that are really important," she said.
