Tori Spelling prefers to live a "simpler life."
The 38-year-old actress and her husband Dean McDermott have recently moved out of their 7000Sq. ft. Los Angeles mansion to a smaller home in the beach community of Malibu.
Tori and Dean thought it best to expose their three young children to an unembellished lifestyle.
"It's true that the simpler life is such a better way," Tori told Life & Style magazine. "We all accumulate so much, and we feel like we can't live without stuff. We really don't need any of that stuff to make it work and be happy."
The family's new home is set on two acres of land. Their outdoor space includes a garden and has plenty of room to build farm buildings for their dogs, goats, chickens and pigs.
"Spacewise, we have less than half of what we had before, but our old home wasn't conducive to farm living," Tori explained.
"Sustainable farming is a lifestyle we want to teach our children. We wanted to grow our own vegetables and fruit trees."
Tori and Dean have four-year-old Liam, three-year-old Stella and two-month-old Hattie together.
The pair have been married since 2006.
