Bollywood filmmaker
Anurag Kashyap has once again garnered attention for his rebellious nature.
The filmmaker who is gaining cult status for his unconventional films has been fighting against Indian censor board for dampening the creativity of films by imposing the 'Smoking Kills' slogan on screen during a scene where any character is shown smoking.
In his opinion that dampens the creativity and spoils the spirit of the situation as audiences' attention is dragged to the cautionary message. And this has been holding up the release of his ambitious film
'Ugly'.
The film has many such scenes and Anurag refuses to adhere to censor board's guidelines.
Hence, the film's trailer which was supposed to release with actress
Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film
'Queen' has now been denied the permission for the same.
'Ugly's trailer has been put on hold and will now not release with 'Queen'.
Apparently, another factor of the promo that apparently has upset the censor board was the closing statement of the trailer which stated, "To be released as soon as we win the case."
Regardless the difficulties faced by him, Anurag refuses to bow down before the governing body of the Indian Film industry.
