(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Vanessa Hudgens believes acting in front of a green screen really stretches your imagination.

The 22-year-old American actress is best known for playing Gabriella Montez in the popular High School Musical movie franchise.

Her initial success has paved the way for a successful film career, including her imminent cinema release, Sucker Punch. For the role, Vanessa had to film some scenes in front of a green screen. This involved the actress performing her parts in front of a blank canvas, before the intended objects are added via computer imagery. She has revealed she found the procedure intriguing as it forced her out of her comfort zone.

It was interesting...I have one sequence where Im shooting and yelling at something thats massive and Im not even sure what this thing looks like. But its a lot of fun, you know, it really makes you stretch your imagination, she told Total Film magazines.

Vanessa plays Blondie in the upcoming action fantasy, which tells the story of a young girl who attempts to flee an asylum, with her inmate friends.

Sucker Punch also stars Jon Hamm, Abbie Cornish and Emily Browning and will be released in cinemas worldwide from March. (C) Cover Media
