News were around the corner that Varun Dhawan has been roped in to play the lead role in Shashank Khaitan's romantic-comedy film 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' whilch will take the 'Humpty Sharma KI Dulhania' franchise forward.

Now it is Alia Bhatt who will play Varun's dulhania in the film. The magic of 'Humpty Sharma KI Dulhania' will be recreated once again as the leading pair will be reunite yet again.

Varun could not hide his excitement any longer and so he took to twitter to post his excitement. He said, "@aliaa08  ALIA #humpty needs his dulhania.😍." To which Alia replied, "@Varun_dvn  VARUN !!!! Everyone needs a Dulhania 😍😍."

The film will be shot in Mumbai, Kota and Jhansi. Varun and Alia will be speaking in the North Indian accent throughout the film.
