With Sriram Raghavan's 'Badlapur' Varun Dhawan has moved out of his comfort zone. Till date the actor, who was seen in romantic dramas and comedies, will be seen in a revenge drama for the first time in his career.

The film has a full blown smooch scene between Divya Dutta and him. Apart from smooch scenes, the film also has several bold scenes in it.

Varun said, "There is bold content in Badlapur, it was necessary for the film. Since I did my first film, I've always said, that why do we shy away. If there's a kiss meant to be shown between two people who love each other or if you are supposed to show action in a certain level, then why don't we show it. Often critics criticize that it wasn't real enough, or this doesn't happen in real life, so we've gone for it in Badlapur."

Besides Divya, Huma Qureshi and Yami Gautam are a part of his life too in the film. Huma plays a sex worker, Jhilmil and is associated to both Varun and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
