The Vishal starrer ‘Vedi’, directed by Prabhu Deva is set for release on Deepavali day. Produced by Vishal’s home banner GK Film Corporation, the remake of the Telugu hit ‘Souryam’ has Sameera Reddy as heroine.

“We’re shooting as fast as possible to complete ‘Vedi’,” says the actor, who is celebrating his birthday with the cast and crew of the movie today. “I am so happy about the way the film has shaped up,” he adds.

One of the highlights of the film, according to him, will be the on-screen chemistry he shares with Sameera Reddy. “Since both of us are tall, there is no problem in doing romance scenes and songs,” he says with a smile.

The actor’s glad that he’s doing a commercial film like ‘Vedi’ post a ‘heavy movie’ like ‘Avan Ivan’ that showcased his acting skills to the hilt. Music for ‘Vedi’ is by Vijay Antony. However, Devi Sri Prasad has danced for a special number.
